The very first step we took towards planning our wedding was hiring Luciana and Masumi (who we came across on Wedding Wire!) and it was the best decision that we could’ve made. We were looking for a wedding planner who was well-versed in navigating queer and interracial intersectionalities, as it was very important for my fiance and I to meld together our families and cultures for the wedding - Events by GS fit the bill exactly!

Amazing planning and design team with extreme attention to detail
I could not imagine our wedding celebration without the help of Luciana and Masumi at Events by GS making our vision a reality (and often helping us get to the vision part too!). They are an incredible team that kept us organized, on track, and sane leading up to our celebration. Every time we got on the phone with them for a check in—regardless of how stressed we were feeling—we always ended the call with a smile and assurance that everything was on track (or what we needed to do to get there). As a gay couple, it was also important to us to have a planning team that would help us think through the non-traditional nuances that come with a same-sex wedding as well as find a set of vendors that were unwaveringly pro-LGBTQ+. In addition to their excellence in planning and design, Luciana and Masumi were able to empathize and execute on these details, which further put our minds at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our celebration. The best investment
The best investment my wife and I made for our wedding was hiring Luciana and Masumi to do full wedding planning for our big day. This power couple took our vision further beyond what we ever imagined was possible. They sourced the exact right vendors that we wanted to work with(those that identified as LGBTQ, BIPOC, or female-owned) and kept us on track and within our agreed budget along the way. Their impeccable eye for design elevated every visual detail, from flowers, to layout, to place setting and more. Not to mention they are so fun to work with and never once did we feel like we were floundering. If you are on the fence about hiring full planning or day-pf coordination, I promise that you will not be disappointed with these two at the helm.

Dream team
Luciana and Masumi designed and planned my dream modern Chinese wedding and my husband and I were completely blown away by the details. Our guests still rave about how much fun and unique our wedding was! We fired Luciana and Masumi for partial planning and design - but I’m going to be honest, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND just partial planning to make our day the best day of our lives. The past year working with them was so enjoyable and stress-free. Masumi also has a brilliant design eye and create a mood board based on the most important qualities my husband and I had in the end it was executed to perfection.
